Students are increasingly being prepared for jobs that don’t exist yet. Rapid change is a constant. Consequently, society needs professionals that can quickly adapt to these changes in their environment and who are lifelong learners. This requires education to focus more on empowering students to develop the important skills, competencies, and behaviors in addition to the acquisition of theoretical knowledge.
Portflow is the student-owned learning experience portfolio that empowers students to take the wheel of their education. Designed to prepare students for lifelong learning by appealing more to their intrinsic motivation and by centralizing competency-based education (CBE) and reflective learning.

Student-owned Portfolio Building Scaffolded with AI

Providing students with appropriate scaffolding on the route is essential to enable students to take ownership of their own learning. AI has the potential to take this to another level, by providing ongoing personalized support and real-time feedback to students, while they work on building their portfolios.
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn:
- How to embrace AI in digital portfolios as addition to scaffolding provided by the system and teacher.
- How to position AI tools in relation to student ownership of learning & responsibility.
- How to set up authentic learning experiences and learning artifacts with AI enabled portfolio assignments.
