leading position, surveys are a vital part of the operation to collect feedback and insights
on programs, faculty and students. Examples of use cases for these surveys are; End of
program evaluation, Student living expenses survey, Survey to gather information for MBA
graduation ceremonies, Voting for best teaching awards. All aimed at improving the
quality of their education and student experience.
INSEAD was using an in-house developed legacy survey system, that heavily relied on IT
staff support in the creation and distribution of surveys and suffered heavily from uptime
problems in periods of high demand. Moreover, the user experience was poorly evaluated
by students because of the high amount of individual emails that they received.
