We’re very excited to be announcing the direct availability of the brand-new Portflow mobile app for learners. This native app for Android and iOS enables the learner to capture evidence of their learning experiences on the go, wherever they are. As Portflow aims to provide a holistic approach to (assessment of) the learning journey, we strive to make it as easy and seamless as possible to capture artefacts from learning experiences. With virtually all learners having a smartphone in their pockets, it was just a matter of time for us to release a dedicated mobile app. Discover what new opportunities this app unlocks!

The mobile app aims to lower the threshold significantly of capturing those valuable moments during or right after learning experiences. Where Portflow was already fully accessible and usable in mobile browsers within the familiar environment of the LMS, this new dedicated app makes capturing evidence and adding it to your portfolio easier than ever before.

Functionalities of the App

We’ve focussed the new app on leveraging the platform it runs on and the contexts it is usable for: capturing evidence. We saved you the mess of a cluttered app with all kinds of features you can also find in the regular web app, but don’t make sense in a mobile interface. On the other hand, we leverage the capabilities of your smartphone to not only take quick notes as evidence, but also to capture audiovisual assets like pictures and audio recordings directly from within the app. Moreover, you can easily select and upload previously captured evidence such as files or videos from your phone and upload them to your portfolio. All in all, the new app allows learners to ensure with ease that no learning experience is lost or left unnoticed.
