Portflow is an LTI app or plug-in designed for integration with your Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It allows students to collect and organize artefacts and feedback (evidence) that showcase the development of their skills throughout their studies, reflecting their personal learning journey.

Portflow focusses on the learning process, rather than just the results

Students can seek feedback and valuable insights from teachers, peers, and experts on their progress. Teachers play a supportive role by offering necessary guidance (scaffolding) throughout this journey.

Overarching Portfolio for the Entire Learning Journey

Portflow ties together all learning experiences, from the entire learning journey. It unifies the artefacts and feedback from learning processes and results from all learning contexts such as courses, modules, projects and extracurricular activities.

Robust Goal Framework as a Solid Basis

The student can build their portfolio by linking these artefacts as evidence to their goal framework of personal and programme-wide skills, outcomes, and competencies.

Closing the Feedback Loop

During this iterative process of collecting, structuring and relating artefacts, the student can invite any relevant stakeholder from inside and outside the university in their learning process to provide valuable insights in the form of rich feedback and progress evaluations. Feedback is shaped in threaded dialogues, stimulating active learning.

Making Learning Visible

Progress and growth towards mastery is trackable and visualized for both students and coaches, allowing for adequate scaffolding, guidance and reflections. In addition, narrative feedback is presented in an aggregated overview.

Leveraging the VLE for a Seamless Experience

Students and instructors remain in their trusted learning environment through the synergy with the VLE, without the need to open new tabs or sign in elsewhere. Students can import VLE assignment submissions including received feedback as evidence, they can invite other VLE users to their portfolio, and summative assessments can be graded within the VLE: a seamless experience that goes far beyond integrated. External users can easily and securely access shared portfolio’s without a VLE account.

Lifelong Learning

Easily create showcases, exports, or add an alumnus login to keep using the portfolio after graduation.
